Caterpillar in New Zealand Spinach

Tetragonia tetragonioides

One of the easiest vegetables to grow in the kitchen garden is New Zealand Spinach. It is highly resistant to most pests and diseases.

Therefore it was quite a surprise to see this caterpillar enjoy our New Zealand Spinach.

No other plants were attacked, and shortly after the picture was taken, this plant was just as caterpillar-free as the others.
